IFEX 2026, Exhibition, Indonesian Export Transformation Symbol


Jakarta, May 21, 2025/Indonesia Media – Himki together with Dyandra Promosindo launched the IFEX 2026 exhibition at the Jakarta Ministry of Trade Auditorium. This IFEX exhibition launching in a very decisive situation. The world has changed fast, and the Indonesian furniture industry is at an important intersection. Meanwhile, Chairman of HIMKI Sobur assessed that the national furniture industry was in the digital approach stage. “Together with strategic partners, HIMKI is exploring the integration of our SME products to the global B2B e-commerce platform such as Alibaba, Faire, and Archiproducts, so that Indonesian furniture can reach the world from even small production centers,” Sobur told the editor
Of course, all of this requires supporting ecosystems. For this reason, HIMKI has submitted a deregulation recommendation to SVLK and V-Legal for the downstream industry. Himki did not reject sustainability, but rejected disproportionate administrative burdens. “The furniture and craft industry is labor intensive, supporting the people's economy, not forest destroyers,” Sobur said.
In IFEX 2026, all members, stakeholders also introduced Pavilion Green & Design as a storefront of innovative products based on sustainability. All parties want to show that Indonesian crafts are able to become a global design force that is in harmony with the principle of ESG.
“I invite all parties-government, business actors, academics, media, and logistics partners and financing-to collaborate on the success of IFEX 2026. Let's realize strong, diversified, and sustainable non-oil and gas exports,” said Sobur.
For Himki, rising from a crisis is not an option, but a necessity. IFEX 2026 is the momentum of our resurrection together.
Innovation in organizing IFEX 2026
With the expansion of the exhibition area of up to 85,000 square meters, IFEX 2026 will present a larger capacity to accommodate participants from all over Indonesia. This expansion not only provides physical space, but also a symbol of the readiness of the national furniture and craft industry to grow bigger and reach further.
Superior facilities such as free shuttle bus and hosted buyers program, which has been an added value of IFEX, will still be available with improving service quality. Hosted buyers from various countries will return to explore the opportunities of cooperation directly with Indonesian furniture producers, creating real and long -term business transactions.
“We want to ensure that every participant, from large business actors to MSMEs, can feel the concrete benefits of their participation. IFEX is not only to be seen, but to be accessed, reached, and followed up,” said Sobur.
HIMKI also strengthened strategic cooperation with foreign trade networks, including Trade Attache (ATDAG) and the Indonesia Trade Promotion Center (ITPC), which spearheaded the promotion and liaison with potential buyers in export destination countries. This effort is focused on market penetration through cultural approaches, local preferences, and unique design offered by Indonesian products.
Improving the quality of promotions will also be carried out through digital campaigns, media partnership programs, as well as activation in various international events, including trade shows in the Asian, Middle East and African regions.
The success of IFEX 2026 also relies on cross -sector collaboration. Himki called for an active role from the government, industry players, educational institutions, media, and civil society to jointly build a sustainable, inclusive, and prepared to face global change industry ecosystems.
